After changing the power steering+alt bracket and the dipstick there’s no reason you should be able to make such accurate claims. Engine came out of a Fiesta XR2i, gearbox came from the car it’s going back into.

It shows you how little I know. Why an engine from a fiesta though? Why not from, let’s say, a Mondeo? Doesn’t fit?

The RQB/XR3i is a direct fit since the car already had one. The Mondeo lumps requires some minor modifications and presumably another engine bay wiring harness, but should be an easily way to get a 2.0 without sourcing a rarer RS2000.
Dad bought the Fiesta for the engine, i kinda considered fixing it up to replace my own escort, but the entire front end was more or less rusted away, so took the engine and sold the rest to a guy who was restoring his own XR2i.
